Applications

Cooldowns, time limits, and action-on-leave

Stop spam submissions, force applicants to finish in time, decide what happens when they leave.

Application cooldown#

After someone submits, they cannot reapply to the same application until this duration passes. Useful for limiting reapplications after a denial.

Set in Days, Hours, Minutes. Zero across the board disables it.

Time limit#

How long an applicant has to finish answering questions once they start. The default is 3 hours. If they hit the limit, the bot DMs them a "your application timed out" notice and the draft is marked expired.

Time limits do NOT affect already-submitted applications. They only constrain in-progress drafts.

Action on user leave#

What happens when an applicant with an open submission leaves the server.

Do nothing
Submission stays pending. If they rejoin, you can still review it.
Auto-deny
Submission is denied with reason "Applicant left the server". DM is not sent.
Auto-accept
Submission is accepted. Rare but useful for some communities.
Delete the submission
Submission is wiped from the database.
Roles still apply on auto-decisions

Auto-accept will try to grant Accepted roles. Auto-deny will try to grant Denied roles. If the user is not in the server, those grants silently fail.
