Verification (Audintel)
Overview
What Audintel is and what problem it solves.
Audintel is Auditer's verification layer. When a member joins, instead of being immediately able to participate, they go through a verification flow that checks their account age, location, VPN/proxy use, and known-fraud signals. The result is a risk score and an automated approve/deny/manual-review decision.
What it catches#
- Brand-new accounts created within hours of joining
- Members connecting through known VPN or proxy networks
- Members from countries you have blocked
- Members previously flagged on other Audintel-enabled servers
- Accounts that fail email verification or have no 2FA
Privacy first
Auditer never stores raw IP addresses. Only country, region, ISP, and a derived risk score are kept. Members are shown what is collected before they verify.
